MSF Global Helps Veolia Transportation Deliver Interactive Website For New Orleans Regional Transit Authority
The Need
Veolia Transportation, operating under a “delegated management” contract manages all aspects of the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority’s (RTA) operations. When Veolia took over the operations of the RTA the need to reinvent the agency from operations to branding was evident. While work was under way to improve operations, Veolia began an integrated brand strategy designed to enhance the agencies ability to reconnect with its customers.
With the brand and visual style defined, Veolia prioritize the need to upgrade and enhance the information and services provided to the ridership in Greater New Orleans.
To accomplish this task Veolia selected MSF Global as it’s Technology Integrator Partner and Project Manager to manage the building of a new website for the Regional Transit Authority (RTA) in New Orleans.
The Challenge
The objective was to design and build an interactive site that was not only visually appealing but also functional and delivered critical services to help New Orleanians as well as tourist utilize the transit network in an efficient manner. Every project has its challenges but there was one (1) requirement that made the Veolia/RTA case unique. MSF Global was challenged with designing and implementing the website and all interactive features using a German-based Enterprise Content Management System (CMS) that was never deployed in the U.S. within a four (4) month timeframe.
In addition, Veolia charged MSF Global to manage all aspects of the projects and it’s participants. Participants included Veolia Corporate, Veolia-New Orleans and consultants spread throughout the United States, Germany and France.
