The Idea Village, an organization promoting entrepeneurship in New Orleans established in the wake of Hurricane Katrina,was looking to create an online presence and competition encouraging people from diverse backgrounds all around the globe to come to New Orleans and give their views on its business. They looked to the Trumpet Group to establish their marketing campaign and exposure. Trumpet, one of MSF Global’s partners, came to us to participate with them in creating their website and aiding in their visual design.
The program was vastly successful and encouraged hundreds of applicants to sign up and try to be a part of a program that could have a great impact on shaping the future of this ever-changing city. Twenty-seven applicants were selected after a process of evaluation to come to New Orleans in March of 2012 to experience the landscape of business in a city whose industries have changed and adapted. New Orleans finds itself on the cusp of being a new center for technology and certainly the NOLAbound program and the Idea Village will play a role in that advance.
